Outpost's Studio A, an ergonomic Pro-Tools HD3 mixing environment

Studio Improvements

Outpost has recently made major upgrades to our main mixing room, Studio A. We have moved our dual-monitors into a floating position above our mixing/monitoring console, as well as replacing our aging passive-monitor surround system with a set of new Genelec active surround monitors. This new hardware, in combination with our frequent Dolby calibrations, makes Studio A one of the most accurate 5.1 mixing stages in San Francisco.

"Shadow Work"

This month, Outpost mixed "Shadow Work", a documentary by director Nigel Walker.

"Dog Story"

Miik Dinko edited and mixed audio for "Dog Story", a short film by director Caveh Zahedi.

"Money Tree" (Chris Dienstag)

Chris Dienstag brough "Money Tree" back to Outpost to add content to the opening credits. This film was originally mixed by Dave Nelson in 1992.

Dave Nelson created additional sound design and mixed episode 106 of "Lucy the Daughter of the Devil"

Trip to Vegas

Miik Dinko finished the mix for "Trip to Vegas ", a short film by Caveh Zahedi.

"IRR" (Westernized Productions)

Miik Dinko did detailed sound design for "IRR", a promotional video for rubber tire recycling. Dave Nelson composed music and mixed this video.

Herceptin Care (EVEO)

Dave Nelson composed music and Miik Dinko added sound design for "Herceptin Care", a patient care DVD by EVEO.

IDEO

Eric Koziol brought his client IDEO to Outpost for two Voice-Over sessions in July.

String Quartet (Chio Productions)

Engineer Jim Lively recorded and mixed a string quartet for Roberto Chiofalo of Chio Productions. The music from this recording will be used in a commercial.

The San Francisco Ballet

The San Francisco Ballet came to Outpost to record Voice Over and Mix a new radio spot with engineer Miik Dinko

Green-Screen Voice Over (Eric Koziol)

Videographer Eric Koziol shot green-screen video in Outpost's Live Room, while simultaneously recording boom Voice Over with Miik Dinko in Studio B.

Mondo Media Voice Over

Jim Lively conducted a voice-over session in Outpost's Studio A for Mondo Media.
