Soledad is Gone Forever
at LALIFF
Local writer and director Mabel Valdiviezo
will have the world premiere of her short film "Soledad
Is Gone Forever" at the 10th annual Los Angeles Latino International
Film Festival. The screening will take place at the Egyptian
Theatre at 5:15pm on October 7th, 2006.

Meditative Bowls
Producer Peter Wolff of Wolff Productions
brought Crystal Bowl artist Sam Jackson to Outpost Studios
to record a CD. The CD features 9 tracks of Sam Jackson's
performance on these Singing Meditative Bowls, accompanied
by Cyndi Fitzpatrick on flute. Dave Nelson provided Sound
Design to assist in producing different atmospheres such
as "Ocean", "Woods", and "Space",
as well as the final mix of the album. They are considering
mastering the album at Outpost later this year. |
The Plot to Kill Jesse
James
Josh Rosen came back to Outpost with
his TV Documentary, "The Plot to Kill Jesse James".
Dave Nelson has been providing full post-production for
this production, with help from Miik Dinko and Colette Dahanne.
This production will air on The History Channel in the upcoming
months. Colette's experience as an ADR / sound mixer includes
such titles as “War of the Worlds”, "The
Simpsons (TV Series)", "Mona Lisa Smile",
"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl",
"The Constant Gardener", and the list goes on
and on.

Monterey Bay Aquarium
Bill Streed of American Media Group
approached Dave Nelson of Outpost Studios for 15 minutes of
original music in 5.1 Surround. This production is for a video
that will play at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Dave's creative
writing style led the client to choose to add sound design
to the project as well. The video features footage from inside
and outside the aquarium including the world-famous Jellyfish

Peter Coyote
Producer Dennis Fallon brought his
film "Shadows of Atticus" to Outpost for an ADR
Session with actor Peter Coyote. Peter has been to Outpost
many times, including for Tiffany Shlain's film "The
Tribe: Barbie's 5000 Year History".
