With spring around the corner Outpost Studios is busier than ever with a mixture of projects and clients!
Director’s John Vasicek brought his feature “Voyeur” to Dave Nelson and Outpost Studios for all of its post-production sound. Including ADR, Foley, Sound Design, and a Mix. Foley will be provided by Foley master Marnie Moore, Sound Design by Albert Gasser and Dave Nelson, ADR by Miik Dinko, and Mix by Dave Nelson.
San Francisco Ballet’s Julie Begly brought in dancers Vanessa Zahorian, and Nicolas Blanc to work with Miik Dinko on “Blue Rose” radio spot. This 60-second spot feature the lovely dancers speaking candidly about this lovely new choreography for the San Francisco Ballet. To find out more about the ballet go to: www.sfballet.org
Caveh Zahedi’s “I am a Sex Addict” has been picked up for distribution by IFC Films! Like Steven Soderberg latest “Bubble”, “Sex Addict” too will simultaneously be released in both screens across the country and on Video on demand. Starting with a New York and San Francisco premiere date of April 5th. The San Francisco premiere will be at the Balboa Theater. Dave Nelson at Outpost Studios mixed this funny and poignant film. Director Norm Hunter, brought his first feature “Her Best Move” for ADR to Dave Nelson at Outpost Studios. This Bay Area filmed and produced movie deals with “professionalization” of young athletes in this coming-of-age story of high school soccer phenom Sara Davis as she juggles life, love and the opportunity of a lifetime—a shot at being the youngest ever on the National Team. Roger Deutch’s came to Outpost to do the narration for this short “Mario Makes a Movie”. This short won 2005’s San Francisco Art Institute Film Festival, and has been included at this year’s Cinequest March 4th and 5th. For more info on this film and Roger’s other projects go to: www.ottofilms.org
