Dave Nelson and Haskell Wexler

After a successful year it is nice to end it by having two films going to The Sundance Film Festival!

Film veteran and Academy Award winner Haskell Wexler’s latest film “Who Needs Sleep” is an official selection at The Sundance Film Festival. A 90-minute documentary that takes a look at the working condition’s of the film community. Dave Nelson, the Supervising Sound Editor, was excited to have Haskell, Editor Tamara Maloney, and Composer Greg Landau in his San Francisco studio.

Director Tiffany Shlain’s latest film “The Tribe: Barbie's 5000 year History” is on its way to Sundance! As always Tiffany manages to bring together the best talent available, with Peter Coyote providing narration, and Dave Nelson Sound Design. This humorous look at the unauthorized, unorthodox, factual history of The Barbie Doll will be one to watch out for. It will be premiering at the Herbst Theater December 4th to a sold out crowd.
