Source-Connect ADR at Outpost

Outpost recently "hooked up" with Cherry Beach Sound in Toronto, Ontario for an ADR session.

Through Source-connect, the remote studio was "patched in" to us while the Director here in San Francisco and the talent in Toronto viewed the same video. The ADR was needed for The Dead Sleep, a 5.1 surround-sound feature that is now being mixed at Outpost.

Source-connect operates by connecting through the Internet, providing a higher quality signal than ISDN, without the necessity of using ISDN phone lines or equipment.

"The Little Red Truck", directed by Rob Whitehair and Pam Voth

The Little Red Truck

Pam Voth and Rob Whitehair of Tree and Sky Media brought their feature-length documentary, "The Little Red Truck" to be mixed at Outpost Studios.

This heartwarming documentary follows the Missoula Children's Theatre as they travel across the country staging full-scale musicals in elementary schools, featuring children from the schools themselves.

Delta Rising

After coming to Outpost for Dialog Editing work, director Michael Afendakis returned for a music edit and final mix for his film, "Delta Rising". This film features many actors, such as Willie Nelson, Morgan Freeman and explores the Mississippi River Delta Blues sound.

Sony Buzz

Buzz, the new trivia game for the Playstation 2, has an exciting new interactive website! We were trusted with adding sound design and mixing two of the modules on the website, "Hollywood Buzz" and "Robo Buzz". These two modules will soon be available on the Sony Buzz website:

The San Francisco Ballet

Marketing director, Daryl Carr of the San Francisco Ballet, returned to Outpost recently to record and produce new radio spots for Program 4, "West Side Story Suite".

We also edited a podcast interview between actress Rita Moreno and San Francisco Ballet Principal Dancer Lorena Feijoo. This podcast is available at the San Francisco Ballet's website:

Symantec / GB Productions

Andy Hill of GB Productions has created another piece for Symantec Systems, with the help of Outpost Studios. This 1-shot 5 minute piece got a sound design and mix pass in our Studio A.

Wells Fargo Phone Banking

Omar Rivero of Wells Fargo produced new Spanish-Language voice-over for the Wells Fargo Phone Banking System with of Miik Dinko at Outpost.

Sam Jackson - Yoga Bowls

We've been busy with the final editing and mixing phase of Sam Jackson's Meditative Bowls CD. Once this editing is completed, the session will be shipped to Roger Nichols for Mastering.

Menendez Fine Art Productions

Miik Dinko of Outpost performed a dialog sweetening and sound design pass on Richard Menendez's project, "Ancient Greek Wine Drinking Vessels". This 50-minute video discovers 14 different ancient vessels and their history. Soon to be available on DVD.

Brand-It Displays

Brand-It Displays returned to Outpost to edit a sample for a grocery-store shelf marketing prototype.
