FOLEY

Foley is the sound of humans. Footsteps (human or animal), leather coats, pen strokes, flying debris, cup pick-ups and downs, fist fights etc. The recording of foley is the most demanding, complex and fun of all engineering. The level or gain of the microphones used for foley recording can be so extreme that a foley engineer is called upon to be technical, creative, and versatile all at the same time.

Dave pioneered the recording of foley directly into ProTools which has become the industry standard because of its speed and versatility.
